TAKE ONE hace referencia a la primera vez que se toca una canción para ser grabada, contando con que pueda haber más de una. Se trata de la toma (de sonido) número uno de un determinado material musical. En el terreno del jazz y las músicas improvisadas muchas veces la primera toma es la mejor por muchas razones, entre ellas la frescura, la espontaneidad, la relación estímulo-respuesta en términos musicales a partir de un diálogo siempre renovado. La utilización del inglés viene dada por su estrecha relación con el jazz como forma y marco estético, reservando para el contenido el discurso más regional, más personal, que aporta multiculturalidad al gran género musical del siglo XX.

TAKE ONE refers to the first time you play a song to be recorded, knowing that there may be more than one. This is the (sound) take number one of a particular musical material. In the field of jazz and improvised music many times the first take is the best for many reasons, among them, freshness, spontaneity, the stimulus-response relationship in musical terms, out of an always renewed dialogue. The use of English is due to its close relationship with jazz as a form and aesthetic framework, reserving for content the more regional, more personal discourse that brings multiculturalism to the great musical genre of the twentieth century.
